Ingredients for Rava Idli Recipe (Semolina Idli)

# Ingredients
1. 2 cup Semolina (rava)
2. 1 cup curd
3. 2 tbsp oil
4. 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
5. 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
6. 1 tbsp split Bengal gram (Chana dal)
7. 2 green chili
8. 10 cashew nuts, broken
9. 6 curry leaves
10. 1 and 1/2 tbsp fruit salt
11. Salt to taste

Steps of Rava Idli Recipe (Semolina Idli)

# Steps
1. Heat the 1 tbsp oil in pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and Bengal gram splits.
2. When seeds crackle add cashew nuts, curry leaves, green chilli and mix well.
3. Add semolina (rava) and sauté for 5 minutes on low flame or till it becomes light brown.
4. Remove semolina in bowl from pan and let it cool down.
5. When it’s cool down add curd, 1 1/2 cup water, salt and mix well. (Add the water if needed to make it idli batter consistency)
6. Cover the bowl and keep aside for 10 min.
7. Put steamer on Stove with sufficient water. And grease the idli mould with oil.
8. In the mixture add fruit salt and whisk well.
9. Pour the mixture in a greased idli mould and Steam it for 10 minutes in the steamer.
10. Remove and serve hot with chutney or sambhar.
