Mix rice and all the dals in a bowl. Wash them and soak it for 2 hour.

Drain the water and blend it to a thick coarse mixture using enough water (consistency of batter should be thick). Remove the mixture in a deep bowl.

Add yogurt and mix the mixture well.

Cover the bowl with the lid and keep in a warm place for 6 to 8 hours to ferment.

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chili paste, coriander cumin powder, sugar, salt, soda bicarbonate and mix well.

Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, when seeds crackle add sesame seeds, curry leaves, whole dry red chilli, asafoetida and mix well and switch off the flame.

Pour the tempering over the batter and mix well.

Pre heat oven at 180° C and Grease cake tin with oil.

Pour the mixture in the greased tin and sprinkle some sesame seeds over it.

Bake it for 50 minute or till it done. (You can also make in Handva cooker. Pour the mixture in handva cooker and cook it on medium flame till it done.)
