How to make Paneer Butter Masala ?

In north India Cottage cheese is a common ingredient in cooking. They will make different types of curry using cottage cheese and Paneer butter masala recipe is one of them. In Paneer butter masala recipe, Paneer or cottage cheese cooked in a buttery and creamy gravy of onion, tomato and cashewnut. You can make exactly restaurant style paneer butter masala at home by using this recipe.

Ingredients for Paneer Butter Masala Recipe

# Ingredients
1. 200 gram Paneer, Cutted into squre piece
2. 5 tbsp butter
3. 1 tbsp oil
4. 1 Bay leaves
5. 2 Cinnamon stick, 1 inch long
6. 4 black pepper
7. 10 cashew nuts
8. 1 large onion, sliced
9. 3 large tomatoes, Cut in to large piece
10. 7 cloves garlic
11. 1 inch ginger
12. 2 green chilli
13. ½ tbsp Turmeric powder
14. 1 tbsp red chili powder
15. ½ tbsp coriander- cumin powder
16. ½ tbsp kasoori methi, crushed
17. ½ cup fresh cream and 1 tbsp for garnishing
18. 1 tbsp honey
19. Salt to taste
20. 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Steps of Paneer Butter Masala Recipe

# Steps
1. In a pan heat the oil and add bay leaf, cinnamon sticks, and Black pepper. Add onion and sauté it for a minute.
2. Add Tomatoes, ginger, garlic, cashew nut, green chili and salt. Sauté it for two minute. Add 1 cup of water and mix it well.
3. Cover the pan and let it cook for 10 minutes.
4. After 10 minute open the lid and Let it cool down.
5. Transfer into the grinder jar and grind to a smooth paste.
6. In a Pan heat butter and add Paneer cubes and turmeric powder. Sauté it for 2 minutes. Add red chili powder and coriander cumin powder and mix it well.
7. Add Blended Puree and mix it well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
8. Add cream and cook for another 2 minute. Add kasoori methi and sauté for two minute.
9. Switch off the flame and Add honey and mix well.
10. Garnish with coriander and cream and serve hot.
