Many politicians either get killed or die due to some disease. But there are also some politicians whose death has remained a mystery for all till date. No one has been able to find the reason for their departure. Today, I would like to discuss with you some of these politicians in India whose death has left a big question mark for all.
Lal Bahadur Shastri
Everyone knows Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Second Prime Minister of India. But does anyone know how he died? No, then let me tell you after signing the Tashkent Declaration in 1965 at Uzbekistan, the wise and healthy person suddenly died. As per an official document, declared that de died of a heart attack. But is that the real truth? If yes, then as per his wife, how come his body turned to blue colour which is a sign of being poisoned? On Lalita’s statement of Shastri gets murdered, the waiter who had served him also arrested. But when no proof found, he was released, leaving a question mark for all again, how did Shastri die?
Lalit Narayan Mishra
How unbelievable it is that the murder mystery of Lalit Narayan Mishra, who died in a bomb blast on January 3rd, 1975 at Samastipur has remained unresolved even after 37 years! From 1973 to 1975 he was the Minister of Indian Railways. So to declare the Samastipur-Muzaffarpur broad gauge railway line open when he went there, a bomb blast took place, and he got injured very severely. Then as per the report, he was taken to the railway hospital where he left this world on the next day. The investigation about his death is still going on, but no one has got any results till date.
Sanjay Gandhi
I am sure most of all must be aware of who Sanjay Gandhi was. He was a pilot, a politician and a son of Indira Gandhi. Sanjay was only 33 when he was killed in a plane crash on 23rd June 1980 in Delhi near Safdarjung airport soon after winning the elections from Amethi. According to the eyewitnesses, he was practising acrobatics with his small aircraft when it was crashed down. But some smelled plotting behind this event. Some said that his enemies had planned his death. The plane crashed towards the ground very severely, but there was no fire or explosion. The entire event was just shocking. Moreover, when Indira Gandhi went to the site, she could not find her son’s keyrings and a wristwatch. All these facts have left everyone with an unanswered question over the causes behind his death.
Subhash Chandra Bose
Although several commissions of inquiry Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s death is still a mystery. There were many rumours about his death. One report said he died in a plane crash in Taipei in 1945. While another said that he died in Siberia when the Soviet army captured him. Also, there was another rumour that Bose was not on the plane when it crashed. In 1956 Shah Nawaz committee was formed for investigation in Japan. His ashes are kept in the Renkoji monastery in Japan, but the Indian government did not bring them yet fearing disturbances in the country.
Shyama Prasad Mookerjee
Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee found Bharatiya Jana Sangh after leaving the first cabinet of Nehru. His death took place in a strange condition. After three months of being arrested, he gets hospitalised as he suffered from dry pleurisy and coronary problems. Therein in spite of being informed about his allergy to penicillin, the doctors had given him one. Due to his aggressive approach of protesting against Congress’s decision over providing an independent status, a different emblem and a separate PM to Kashmir led to take away his life. But the fact that the body was taken to Kolkata directly without conducting any post mortem raised questions in everyone’s mind. Also, when Mookerjee’s mother requested for inquiry commission, it was just ignored.
Chandrasekhar Prasad
Chandrasekhar Prasad, an Indian student leader from Jawaharlal Nehru University, was shot dead on March 31, 1997, while hosting a rally in Siwan. The news of he been kills led to severe protests by large students nationwide.
Haren Pandya
Haren Pandya, the home minister of Gujarat, was found dead in his car in Ahmedabad in 2003 after going for a morning walk. The conditions at the site indicated that he gets shot dead, which created a shockwave all over Gujarat. Questions even raised about his security. Some politicians and a bureaucrat also arrested but since no evidence found the court had later released them.
After reading this, you must be thinking why the mysteries of these politicians have not been revealed yet till now? What are our police and the government doing?
