Dudhsagar Waterfall, Goa

The glorious Dudhsagar Waterfall located in the Western Ghats is one of the most beautiful and tallest waterfalls of India. It is a four-tired waterfall with a height of 310m and forms a border between Karnataka and Goa states. On seeing the flowing water from a distance, it appears like a stream of milk rushing down the edge. Its beauty increases even more during the rainy season.

Nohkalikai Falls, Cherrapunji

Nohkalikai Falls, the fourth tallest waterfall in India located in Cherrapunji. It has a height of 340m and is also the most-visited places in Cherrapunji. The waterfall fed by rainwater from a small plateau on the top, and as the fall plunges below, the water looks weirdly green. As per the legend, the name of the waterfall derived from a local woman named Ka Likai who jumped from the fall’s cliff. The flow of the fall reduces in December-February.

Varanasi Ghats

Spiritually enlightening and superb scenery, Varanasi is best adorned by the ghats, the steps leading towards the banks of the river Ganges. Most of which are used for bathing and performing several birth-death pujas. Surprisingly the valley has 24 species of beautiful Rhododendrons which covers the area like a dazzling red carpet, especially in the spring season. The best time to visit this valley is from February to mid-June when you can find thousands of colourful Himalayan flowers blooming. However, if you like to see snow-covered mountains, then September – December season would be perfect. Even words cannot explain how calm and energising the air of this valley is! One needs to experience it personally, then only they can understand.
